This was my purchase for the day. Okay, I bought a couple of things - I needed one of those portable chargers for my phone for when I go away and - but I wanted to try this.
I'll spare you the details of what I ate today. I had a headche and was kinda sleepy in the afternoon, but that's my fault for having that glass of wine.
I have felt God thorughout the day today, in the little things. For instance, I have always heard this bible verse:
And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13
I like it, but I have never experienced it - until today. On the way home on the bus, I realised I really, really needed to go to the bathroom and I couldn't wait. So I got off at a McDonalds to use their bathroom.
I know it's an unwritten rule that to use the bathroom you have to buy something, and I felt obligated to, so I bought some fries. Now, McDonald's fries are usually too salty for me and I need a coke afterwards, which is why I never buy fries without one.
But these were not too salty at all. They were delicious and when I finished them I felt satisfied, not thirsty like I usually do. I had been tempted but said no, and I felt that God gave me a way out.
I also felt God again later today. I was, for some reason (I don't do this often), daydreaming about the guy I will marry one day. What he's like, what he looks like, whether he'll be a good father where he lives, etc, when the song that I want to walk down the aisle to - God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton.
I prayed for my future husband right then and felt God's presence and was reminded that I can wait - there God has someone great in line for me, and we'll meet when God wants us to.
Okay, I wanted to ask you guys (although I know you can't comment, I have no idea how to rig up comments for posts. Sorry.) a question. Are you tired of hearing about my new sugar free lifestyle (no, it's not a diet, I'm not trying to lose weight, it's a choice)? Would you like me to blog about something else? Or do you like hearing about it?
